I started my journalism journey during my sophomore year of college at California Polytechnic University Pomona and moved from Staff Writer, to Web Editor my junior year and finishing my final year of study at the university serving in the role of Editor-in-Chief and News Section Editor.
From writing investigative pieces, general news, a splash of arts & culture and a small dose of opinion and editorials, print writing was always my strong suit. Although that never stopped me from participating in multimedia creation such as social media posts, podcasts and a couple video cameos here and there including live election coverage from the 2024 presidential election.
My favorite pieces I worked on include the Lanterman investigative series, alongside my colleague Katie Priest, the Ombudsman Office closure series, the CPP presidential transfer of power and CPP's 2024-2025 rebrand initiative.
From my time in university I gained a Bachelors in Communication with a focus on multimedia journalism, about three years of journalism experience and a handful of awards for my work.
